The village’s two-day Independence Day. Fireworks typically launch at dusk the night before the Fourth over Great Sacandaga Lake — Waterfront Park fills early; Northampton Beach is the locals’ cross-lake sightline. Parade down Main Street on July 4.

Decorated boats, usually around 11 a.m. on July 4, lining up near Northampton Beach / Pluchino’s Marina. The Fulton County Sheriff marine patrol has led the run north to the Northville Bridge and back. Rain or shine — confirm the year’s staging area before you launch.
